Christopher "Play" Martin, one half of the duo Kid-N-Play, was involved in a serious car accident in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday that left one person dead, and Play and his passenger, Michelle Gonzales, injured. The accident occurred after three men broke into a house in Durham, subduing the residents and stealing property from within the residence. Police arrived as two of the men were leaving the residence, police arrived, at which point the driver, Raul Aldamo, drove the Ford Taurus used as the crews "getaway car" at police. Police fired at Aldamo, who apparently drove a mile and a half mortally wounded before slamming into Plays SUV. Play and his passenger were taken to the hospital after being ejected from the SUV, and later released on Wednesday. The driver died at the scene of the accident.
